Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has more tidbits from GDC about the Revolution include: online gameplay will be a big component. Iwata pointed out that "only one in ten plays online. Our concept is to get 80 percent to 90 percent of the players online. Well obviously that means the cost issue goes way WAY down.

As as for gamers worried about the Revolution not supporting HD resolutions, Iwata has some comforting remarks: "In the future, Nintendo will release a console that does take advantage of HD." Iwata stressed that waiting for the HD standard to settle into one stable format was one reason to wait.
