The Incredibles Xbox Review

Well I thought I'd take the weekend and play some older games for kicks. I pulled this one out (actually it was on my buddy's harddrive) and went for a kick run through. Kids will obviously enjoy the game just like they did for the movie. As a result the level of difficulty isn't up there in terms of hardcore gaming. The game generally follows the movie. level 1 is the incredibles before they were the incredibles. level two pits mr. incredible against the fire. the bosses pose little difficulty, game play is simple. Left trigger to move the right trigger to move the camera. Pretty simple, however, moving the camera is sometime tedious, but then again, the whole game play and layout is really simple. For kids... Puzzle solving doesn't really happen, you just follow the blue or red hihglites on the ground. Saving the game is pretty easy, and since you do'nt have lives the saving feature happens often. no frusturation from the kids because they have to start at the beginning of the level. Animation mimics the movie; also includes movie clips and additional games (you can be Dash rushing to school), Pixar type graphics make the game fun to play. I can't really complain, I'm not the games primary audience so I may not quite enjoy it as much as a little one.
Definately a cool rental, but repeated play may get boring especially after you pass the game. Join DVG Forums 4 FREE! Only takes 5 seconds to join!
