Showdown: Legends of Wrestling - Review Can't Post

Not a bad game by Acclaim, not your mainstream wrestling game, but it delivers a few hours of fun. Reviving the old stars of pro-wrestling back into their glory days; you'll definately have fun with the rental. The game itself offers a combo, if you will, of sorts. All the favorites wrestlers are available at the start, and you can begin playing the traditional versus bouts, cage matches, tournies, and Battle Royale's, etc.

There is a cool create-your-own wrestler mode, nothing really new, but still entertaining. You can dictate move books, looks, customize attacks, etc. The Showdown Challenge is another mode which is a bit boring in single player, however, the stroyline concept is nostalgic, as you span three decades of wreslting.

Cons include the create-a-legend mode, the storyline as mentinoed above is a bit light. I remember the old WWF aracde game where you chased someone outside the ring, and jumped back in before the 10 count to have him DSQ. Same thing can happen in this game. Graphics were pretty good, and I'm sure many wreslting fans will enjoy this title in their 'lineup'. Pick it up if you like the wrestling games, rent it otherwise.
