Sony released EyeToy: Kinetic for the PlayStation 2. Created by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and developed in association with Nike Motionworks EyeToy: Kinetic is a unique fitness product that acts as an in-home personal trainer to create personalized exercise routines with on-the-spot performance evaluations for a more effective workout. Unlike traditional workout videos, EyeToy: Kinetic provides a superior interactive fitness experience by utilizing the included EyeToy USB camera and Full Vision Lens to track and analyze players' every move in order to provide immediate performance feedback. Designed for all fitness levels, EyeToy: Kinetic offers an all-in-one workout program of exercises inspired by Aerobics, Martial Arts, Dance, Yoga and more, custom tailored to each players' fitness level, schedule and overall objectives. Two virtual personal trainers provide expert guidance and motivation as players can choose between a challenging and intense 12-week training program, or create individual routines within four workout zones to hone in on and achieve specific personal goals. Whether players embark on the challenge of the 12-week training program or prefer to mix-up their workout routine by choosing daily from over 20 unique exercises, the exercises within EyeToy: Kinetic are divided into four themed zones: Cardio, Combat, Toning, and Mind and Body. Each unique fitness zone will target different body parts with varying levels of difficulty. Additionally, players can train in four different environments: Dojo, Dance Studio, Zen Garden, and Loft.
Fitness enthusiasts looking to increase their overall fitness level and
raise their heart rate can experience high-energy aerobic routines and
modern dance sequences in the Cardio Zone. Exercises within the Combat
Zone will allow players to use self-defense disciplines such as Tae
Kwon Do, Kick Boxing and Karate, while the Toning Zone provides an
upper body, lower body and abdominal workout through the latest
lead-and-follow sequences. Players in need of some relaxation can
unwind in the Mind and Body Zone with holistic workouts, including Yoga
and Tai Chi, that aid breathing, concentration and flexibility. Join the forum and enter to win free monthly prize giveaways!
