According to the same leaked article from the March '06 issue of PlayStation Magazine (that unveiled Sony's plan to develop an Xbox Live-killer for the PS3), the next firmware update for the PSP will include an e-mail client. A GPS attachment will arrive later this year. The e-mail client, called Sony Mail, will allow users to setup a new e-mail account based on their unique PSP system ID. Because updated PSP firmware already includes a built-in web browser, users have long been able to access web-based e-mail. But, admittedly, having a dedicated PSP e-mail address is pretty cool.
The GPS hardware add-on is said to be released with UMD-based maps, much like the ones that were recently announced in Japan. DiscussVideoGames - Web's Leading Video Game Forums.
