RX600 Wireless Wheel for PlayStation 2 will let you comfortably drive F1 racers from the comfort of your couch, without having to worry about pulling out the adapter or people tripping on the cord. Using RF technology, Saitek has designed the RX600 Wireless Wheel to work up to 10 meters away from the TV. The wheel requires and comes with 4 AA batteries to power it and you might want to buy some rechargeables, so you don't have to buy new ones every 50 hours.
The RX600 Wireless Wheel comes with 2 paddle shifters for acceleration and braking, 8 analog buttons and an 8-way D-Pad. This allows you to control everything in your racing game without the need of a gamepad or foot peddles. Design wise, there is some comfort issues since the accelerate and braking paddles are at 9 & 3. The X, O, triangle, and square buttons are rounded outward and felt a little hard on my thumbs when using them for a prolong period of time. The L2 and R2 buttons are also small and hard to reach without being in the 3 and 9 positions. Shifting may be a challenge in some games.
The RX600 Wireless Wheel has Double Shock 2 rumble feedback but it is not as good as the true force feedback you get with the GT Force, Driving Force, and Driving Force Pro wheels from Logitech. Granted the Logitech wheels cost more but feeling the gravel under the tires and the tires slipping in the turn is much better than just some vibration when you hit things like with the RX600 Wireless Wheel provides.
