EA to Support Blu-Ray Discs Can't Post
Two video game developers, Electronic Arts and Vivendi Universal Games, have announced support for the Blu-ray high-capacity videodisk format. The PS3 is rumored to be the system Blu-Ray will primarily be used upon, which is exciting news due to the sheer capacity Blu-Ray discs can accommodate--about 25 Gigabytes.


The Blu-ray optical disk format is competing with the HD DVD format for leadership in high-definition video and high-capacity software applications. A single-layer Blu-ray disk will hold up to 25 gigabytes of data and a double-layer Blu-ray disk will hold up to 50 gigabytes of data.
