Fans of the online multi-player game Counter-Strike will be able to download an updated version next week.

Valve said the version using the Source engine game technology, which promises more realistic action and graphics, would be available to buy via its Steam download system.
The game is part of a package which includes the long-awaited Half-Life 2.
But gamers will not be able to play the single-player until the it officially goes on sale in the shops.
