Call of Duty - United Offensive - Brief Review Can't Post

Well what I can say right off the bat that this expansion pack delivers! It was definately worth picking up! Everything improved from graphics, gameplay, new levels, new vehicles, neat additions, and cool storyline. You again play the double Russian and American side. Only this time you get cool new scenarios that include infiltrating a castle with the SAS, driving gunner boats, driving through a rural town in the carriage of motorcycle, all this in one single level! I thought the addition of the bomber - you get to be the gunners - really neat and a fantastic addition. I can see it getting a bit boring if it were longer than one level, all you do is hit moving airplanes for a bit. Again, the single tank level was a dissapointment compared to the other vehicle levels. I was playing in Greenhorn, so maybe I should have increased the difficulty, but nonetheless, the tank level is a bit boring, hitting other tanks with yours just seemed mundane. I was pleased with the Russian scenarios this time. They were mostly spent in urban warfare or on the fronts, both additions to the expansion pack. (Well inner city fighting was around in the first one but it was much better and longer in this expansion pack.) Before I felt the Russian side was lacking a bit, but after the I played the expansion pack I was satisfied. All in all Call of Duty: United Offensive packs tons of new toys and levels and ideas to make it more than worth picking up. A job well done with the expansion pack, it blows the first one out of the water in my opinion.
