Battlefield Vietnam PC Game Review Can't Post

Well I was dissapointed with this game, this site lists it as one of the top games of 2004 but I beg to differ. Granted my system didn't have a 3-D graphics accelerator which I'm sure musthave helped, but Vietnam really didin't offer anything new that Desert Combat didn't already bring to the table. The environments were repetitive, easy, and boring. Once in the jungle, always in the jungle. I will say this, Battlefield vietnam was more challenging than the first two I played. AI has improved with time. nontheless I was displeased with the extent of the graphics, not so great, mind you I had a crappy graphics card. Essentially Vietnam is for multiplayer, which I didin't enlist in. I suppose it's fun with a bunch more people talking to each other. Communication is simplified in Vietnam but a bit more important, as your units actually do more repsonding to your commands than before. All in all avoid if you're looking for the mission style of play in 1942 but pick up if youre a battlefield fan and are looking for something that will satisfy your multiplayer needs.

As posted in the best games section:

Overall gamers agree, Battlefield Vietnam is worth the cash. And judging by the continued sales, this addition to the Battlefield family is a best seller. Not a full blown upgrade from 1942, some were even complaining this should have been released as an expansion pack. Yet, the majority agree that it's a great game nonetheless. 1942 was great, and Vietnam builds on the past success. Updated weaponry provides the gamer with more toys. The only problem I have is flying jets. It's tough to fly around in tight circles trying to pick off small targets and stay inbounds.
