New Surgery Game Concept from Atlus

There was some concern when Atlus first announced its support for the DS, the games were simple ports of existing titles like the crappy Snowboard Kids and Choro Q. Atlus’ latest gaming innovations, however, are hopeful signs of what's to come -- some variety. One of the first titles on the way is Caduceus, which is pitched as a ‘surgical simulator’ that makes full use of both the stylus and the microphone. It sounds a little bizarre, but thoroughly intriguing nonetheless. Players will have to stitch up broken hearts, slice up organs with a scalpel styled stylus and all that kind of surgical carry-on. Caduceus is planned for release shortly after the launch of the DS itself, so it could be an important title serving to emphasise just how different Nintendo’s product will be in comparison to the relatively sober prospects for the PSP.
