Atari Developing SIMON Mobile Game Can't Post

Sorrent, Inc. and Atari, Inc. agreed to create the SIMON game for mobile, a mobile phone adaptation of the electronic memory game. The SIMON game for mobile recreates the original game with familiar red, yellow, green and blue flashing lights while delivering new features only possible on the mobile platform. The SIMON game, which just celebrated its 25th anniversary, was the first electronic memory game developed under license from Hasbro, Inc.

The SIMON game for mobile will be available later this year from most wireless carriers in North and South America and will feature both a single player mode and a multiplayer pass-around mode, which allows gamers to compete against their friends.

In 1978, the SIMON game revolutionized traditional board games by introducing electronics to game play for millions of consumers. Today, the game is still available as SIMON2 which features classic SIMON play on one side and a head-to-head version of the game on the reverse side. Classic SIMON is also available as an electronic handheld game.
