Electronic Arts announced today that EA-Tiburon is developing a sequel to NFL Street, which has sold in excess of 1.5 million copies since its January 2004 release. Pardon me if I don't jump with excitement, I'm not a fan of NFL Street, but that's not to say you aren't excited with the news.... EA-Tiburon went all out for the sequel and NFL Street 2 has been completely redesigned and reinvented, challenging players to change the way the game is played. A whole new dimension has been added to the game with interactive wall moves and style catches. NFL Street 2 will be online for Xbox Live as well as the PlayStation 2 console. The first video for the game will be released on the Madden NFL 2005 game disc in the EA SPORTS Extras section. NFL Street 2 is scheduled for release in early 2005 for PlayStation2, GameCube, and Xbox. Join the forum and enter to win free monthly prize giveaways!

I'm with you, I rather play on the field with the rules and that type of gameplay, rather than a beach. The players don't look realistic and you're tackling on stupid surfaces. THe field of play is smaller too. It's alike another version of NFL Blitz but not so crash and bang. I mean seriously, who tackles on ashphalt?
