EA Games posted a net profit of $24 million, or 8 cents per share, compared to a year-earlier profit of $18.4 million, or 6 cents per share. Revenue rose to $432 million from $353 million a year earlier. The average forecast of analysts surveyed by Reuters Estimates was for earnings per share of 5 cents on revenue of $418.9 million. For the September quarter, which features the company's key college and pro football video games, EA said it expects earnings per share of 28 cents to 34 cents on revenue of $680 million to $715 million. Doesnt surprise me, if their counting Madden in there then sure. I read it sold something like 1.5 million copies in its first week alone! I bought ESPN because it was out first and cheaper and I love it but I have always liked Madden but figured Ill save a bit and get it sooner. Now I kinda regret that...
